An especially handsome and well preserved copy of this classic work. The bindings remain in beautiful condition, a very fine copy withal. FIRST EDITION OF THIS BEAUTIFULLY ILLUSTRATED AND HANDSOMELY BOUND PRINTING OF A CLASSIC AND TIMELESS WORK. Each page is filled with delicate (and archaeologically accurate) marginal decorations and drawings. There are also a number of full-page gravures which are presented to accompany the text.
