The first edition of this work in signed half calf binding by Maltbys. Illustrated with a sketched map and sixteen double sided plates of annotated photographs. Collated complete. A comprehensive study on the Berlin Blockade, an event in which the Soviet Union blocked the Western Allies' railway, road and canal access to the sectors of Berlin under Western control. This work explores the context of such an event, and the impact on the population of Berlin, written by Ann and John Tusa. John Tusa was a main presenter of BBC 2's Newsnight programme from 1986-1993. In Maltbys half calf binding. Externally, excellent with minor shelf wear. Small mark to the spine.
