Warmly inscribed and signed by the author on front free endpaper. The prolific author's Bildungsroman about young Mart Ewald growing up in the correctional facility her father runs. Kit Reed is today best known for her feminist science fiction stories for which she has thrice been nominated for a James Tiptree Jr. Award.
