Sydney: Wentworth Press / Walter Stone & Sons (Printer), 1969. Paperback trade, good condition, black & white photos, plans, front endpaper map, front hinge slightly split (all pages firm), spine & edges near spine slightly faded, edges lightly foxed, pages lightly toned, rear cover little rubbed & marked, small scuff top corner free flyleaf, tiny tear fore-edge rear cover, minor edgewear, author's written & dated dedication title page. 82 pp. Eric Dunlop did not learn anything about the history of his own Sydney suburb, Croydon, when he went to school. So he has written this fascinating local history to pass on to the people of Croydon, as well to the young people at his old school. They now can have some knowledge of how their district took shape, and what life was like in this Sydney Inner West suburb that has been forgotten. This book is based on original records and papers.
