No. 21 of an edition of 1200 copies. 68 fables, each with a reproduction of a b&w engraving by Thomas Bewick (1753-1828) at top of page, followed by a short verse, the fable in prose, then the moral. Preceded by nine page "Life of Aesop" by Oliver Goldsmith. Many pages as yet unopened. Very light browning in margins of pages, browning to edges of text block and edges of boards, heavy browning to spine.. Limited Edition. Hard Cover. Good. Illus. by Thomas Bewick..
