Washington: Government Printing Office, 1906. 1st Edition . Hardcover. Near Fine/No Jacket. 8vo - over 7¾ - 9¾" tall. See photos for condition details. Hardcover, original binding of red cloth boards shows spotting and darkening, mainly along the edges along with edge and corner bumps/wear. The lower right corner the front board appears to have the heaviest bump. The internal binding is good, no hinge issues. The original owner of the book was noted geologist F. C. Schrader and his name stamp is present on both pastedowns as well as the front end page. The same front end page also has a few small chips and tears on the outside edge. No other markings found in the book, no handwriting, no library markings. Frank Charles Schrader was an American geologist, mineralogist, and entomologist. He was one of the first federal geologists to explore Alaska and wrote numerous books for the USGS.
