London: Derek Verschoyle, 1954 2 volumes 8vo (24.5 cm), XXiV, 488 pp; [6], 600 pp. Publisher's cloth. A reprint with the new preface of the edition originally published in 1906. "Bibliotheca Chemica" was a collection of the alchemical, chemical and pharmaceutical books of James Young of Kelly and Durris. John Ferguson (1837 - 1916) was a Scottish chemist and bibliographer. "Bibliotheca Chemica" is his seminal work. Detailed bibliographical descriptions, frequently mentioned other editions, translations, and additional works of an author which are not included in the Young collection makes this catalogue indispensable bibliographical tool in the field.
