Previous owner's name on front free endpaper. All other pages are clean, crisp and unmarked. NO highlighting. NO underlining. NO margin notes. All edges tinted green, as issued. Top edge tint just a little faded. Bound in the original green cloth, stamped in bright gold on the spine and front cover. Copyright 1936. Ad page dated "September, 1946." Illustrated with frontispiece (mule dear killed at long range), halftone plates, and sketches by Philip Plaistridge. Smith 21 [p. 178 in Samworth Books: A Decriptive Bibliography]. Smith calls for a blue cloth binding in the 1946 edition, but this copy is bound in green. Riling 2199: "Seven chapters on rifles used in various types of hunting, including all-around and double-barelled rifles, iron sights, scopes and mounts, with a chapter of stocks.". 1946 printing of the 1936 original.
