London; Hodder & Stoughton, 1964., 1964. Hard Cover. FIRST EDITION. Octavo, pp. 159. 6 full page illustrations by Stead. Publisher's red cloth with black titles to spine in an unclipped pictorial jacket designed by Studio Stead. Light foxing and slight creasing to page block edges with minor bruising to spine tips. Jacket lightly surface soiled and shows light creasing to edges and spine tips with small loss to head of spine. Overall a Very Good copy in a like jacket. "Biggles, Bertie and Ginger set out to investigate the current activities of a notorious ex-RAF officer and find themselves on the track of an international organization and its mysterious leader "The Black Mask"." One of the scarcer, later Biggles titles which had smaller print runs than the earlier titles.
