INSCRIBED (in French) by Souza Desnoyer on the half-title. 359 pp. Also including a pamphlet from an exhibition at Marlborough Fine Art Ltd. in London, 'Francois Desnoyer: Paintings and Drawings', dated October 1955 (English text). It has 8 paintings reproduced in b&w and is INSCRIBED by the artist, Francois (in French) on the half-title.

London: Charles Knight & Company, 1837. First edition. Hardcover. Good. Blue-green gilt cloth covers in good condition but separating from body of text. Interior clean with very little foxing. Tears between cover and spine about one inch in at top and bottom, but no loss to spine. Early inscription on the front flyleaf. A scarce work.
