Charles Skilton, London, 1951. First Edition. Hardcover. Good Condition/Poor. Illustrator: R. J. Macdonald. Coloured illustrated frontispiece and black-and-white drawings within the text have all been executed by R. J. Macdonald. Green coloured boards with red coloured titles to the front panel and back strip. Illustrated dustwrapper with blue coloured titles to the front panel and blue and red coloured titles to the back strip. Photograph of author to the rear fold over panel. Billy Bunter, good heavens, is a hero! With his habit of tuck-raiding, it was he who found out the truth about the bad blood between Harry Wharton and George Wingate. A Greyfriars adventure. A little softening of the back strip edges with bumping of the top book corners. Sunning of the back strip  commensurate with loss of dustwrapper. Browning and scattered foxing to the text block edges with age toning of the pages. A hint of offset tanning to the end pages with an erosion mark to the lower edge of the free front endpaper. Some spotting to the lower text edge. The dustwrapper is not in great shape. Chipping to the dustwrapper corners, with loss of pieces of the top edge of the dustwrapper, both front and rear, along with the ends of the back strip  please see photograph. Creasing and tears to the other dustwrapper edges with rubbing of the panels, fold over creases and other side of the back strip. Sunning of the back strip with removal of a price sticker to be seen to the lower edge. Rubbing to the dustwrapper panels. Size: 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
