W. H. Allen & Co., 1111. Hardcover. Acceptable. No Edition Remarks. 349 pages. No dust jacket. Decorated green cloth covered boards with gilt. Volume III. Contains 30 out of 34 expected hand-coloured plates. pp161-2 are missing. Some occasional heavy cracking to gutters throughout, causing binding to be loose. Some sections are held by a few binding threads. Pages 175 and 337 are detached but present. A few pages and plates missing. Page 19 is creased. Boards have moderate edge-wear with bumping to corners and rubbing to surfaces. Cloth has minor damp and dust stains. Mild crushing to spine ends. Book has a slight forward lean. Card panels have mild rubbing with minor pencil mark to front cover. Spine cloth worn at the joints. Gilt lettering is darkened. Cloth is slightly slack on rear board.
