About This Item

New York: Farrar & Rinehart, 1942. Two early Nero Wolfe and Archie Goodwin mysteries - satisfactory! Ex-library with stamps to the end papers and a few spots in the text. Bumped and rubbed with wear at the extremeties. Rear hinge loose, front hinge cracked with the front free end paper missing. The proud previous owners have eagerly stamped their names on the upper edge of the text block and several times on the end papers and throughout the text so you would not easily forget who this book belonged to. Jacket is rubbed with chips and tears, including a 2" tear down the upper front spine fold and across the spine. Spine is sunned, jacket is attached to a stiff paper backing with the flaps glued to the pastedowns. Size: 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall. First Edition.. Hard Cover. Poor/Fair. Ex-Library.
