Oakland: Black Panther Party, 1976. Paperback. Rear cover has full-sized black and white artwork by Emory Douglas, a ink and watercolor drawing of a young black boy with a raised fist, holding the scales of justice. We find it worth mentioning that issues of The Black Panther, particularly ones dating this late (the paper ceased publication in 1980), are uncommon, with distinct changes to style and format. Tabloid format (ca. 29 X 38cm); printed in black on newsprint; 28pp; illus. Horizontal fold at center, with a small chip to left margin of rear cover; Near Fine.
