Signed by the composer J.B. Foerster, Bloud or The Fool, an opera (Op. 158)

Josef Bohuslav Foerster, known as J.B. Foerster, (30 December 1859 to 29 May 1951) was a Czech composer.

Bloud or The Fool is an opera (Op. 158) published by Foersterova Spolecnost in 1939 in Prague. He wrote 3 operas.

It is about seven paintings and on the subject of stories about two old men Lev Nikolayevich Tolstoyby.

It was first performed on 28 February 1936 in the National Theatre in Prague.

This is a First Edition, and is in great condition. There is a small tear to the top of the spine.

It is 31 X 23.5 cm and weighs 350 grams and has 87 pages. It is the vocal score with piano.

It is signed with a dedication by the author and dated 3 February 1951, only a few months before his death.

A rare and collectable signature.
