NY: Knopf, 1988. Advance Reader's Copy (ARC) for the first edition. Glossy pictoral perfect-bound wraps. Corners touched, shallow wrinkling of upper corner of first few dozen pages, few text underlings. Very Good condition. Typed letter laid-in dated "03/11/95" on Vachss's Law Offices stationery. Vachss explains that he's "always happy to sign books "but "I will not sign: books in bulk for dealers, multiple copies of remainders, books for resale.... Nor will I sign galleys... " He goes on to explain various reasons why he will not sign "material produced for the purpose of obtaining reviews," one of which is that by his arguement such copies encourage reviewers to not read them. 8.5 x 11 inch sheet. Aprx 220 words. Signed by Vachss in ink. (Only the letter is signed.) Folded in half; otherwise, in Fine condition. Vachss' third novel in his Burke series.. Typed Letter Signed (TLS) Laid in. First Edition. Very Good/Not Issued. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall. Advance Reader's Copy.
