Garden City Publishing, New York., 1898. First Edition (Shown).. Hardcover.. VG+/--. 8 7/8 x 6 5/8 x 1 3/8.. NON SMOKING STORE. My listing INCLUDES PHOTO OF ACTUAL BOOK for sale. Book FINE/ Covers Very Good. In excellent shape for its age. No dust jacket or is missing. Boards are brown cloth, lettering red, colour print of painting affixed to front, as issued, with red border. Back has light edge wear, has a small bruise on top edge that shows 1/8 inch spot of board underneath, two slightly bent corners both with very slight breaking of cloth, three short lines where top finish has been pulled off, and minor shelf soil. Spine is bright, solid, no rips, a bit of edge wear all four edges and some minor creases top and bottom. Front cover has minor edge wear, one slightly bent corner, two corner tips with very slight breaking of cloth, a few minor rub marks and three portions of the cover art have top finish pulled off. Page edges are top tinted, as issued, sunned and a bit soiled, also top outer edges of pages ffep to page 8 are slightly wavy at top. Inside of book is tight, clean, bright, clear, flat. Inside front cover is a paper name sticker. Inside of book does not show its age. Illustrated by Margueritte Kirmse. Five Colour plates/paintings. Many black/white line drawings. Contents. Postcript.

My books are from a large private collection, very well taken care of and rarely handled. All descriptions and photos are of the actual books I'm selling. I'm happy to answer any questions regarding my books, just ask. IMPORTANT RE POSTAGE: I'm in Canada so books to the USA/Other Countries are International shipments and may be delayed by CUSTOMS and/or HOMELAND SECURITY. I'm using the Biblio standard postage matrix, which gives average postage fees, therefore sometimes for an OVERSIZE or LARGE heavy book or expensive book, the postage may be too low and may require extra charges. If I know this in advance, I will notify the buyer before the order is processed.
This is not a huge book warehouse, it is a small one-owner store run by a true book lover. POSSIBLE DELAYS: I'm elderly and disabled and while this usually does not cause a delay in order processing, it sometimes may cause a small delay for me to get to the post office.
