New York: D. Appleton & Co., 1848. Leather_bound. Very Good +. 3 1/8 x 4 3/8 inches. BCP: 603 pages. Psalms & Hymns: 254 pages. A few light marginal stains. All page edges brightly gilt. Bound in contemporary dark green (near black) calf with finely tooled cathedral designs to both covers and to spine. Gilt "A.M. Baker" in central oval on front cover and gilt "Prayer" to spine. Edges lightly rubbed. Griffiths 1848/30. A very good copy of the original (1792) American Prayer Book in a stunning and unusual mid-19th Century American binding.
