Eyre and Spottiswoode, 1854. Original dark brown hardback cover. Cover is slightly scuffed on the corners and edges, with further signs of wear on the faces. The backstrip is also scuffed along the top, bottom and the edges. The pageblock remains intact, but the binding is loose in places, with one section in particular close to falling out. Some of the leaves in the pageblock and the edges of it are foxed, and the pageblock has all edges gilt. The text is in fair condition, with no markings or annotations within the text. The leaves are only slightly browned with age near the edges.This book has hardback covers. Ex-library, With usual stamps and markings, In poor condition, suitable as a reading copy. No dust jacket. Pages are lightly tanned and thumbed at the edges, with light foxing. Binding has remained firm. Boards are a little rub worn, slight shelf wear to corners, spine and edges. Corners are a little bumped. Spine ends are mildly crushed. Tanning to spine and edges. Boards are bowed. Book has a forward lean. Water marks to boards and spine.
