Oxford: J. Parker and C. and J. Rivington, 1825. Book. Very Good. Hardcover. Third Edition. 4to (25 x 30cm). pp. lxxii, 966. A very good copy in an attractive binding. All edges Gilt. Original straight-grained morocco binding, four raised bands to the spine, gilt and blind-stamped decoration to spine and boards, gilt dentelles in a Greek fret pattern. Extensive gilt decorated borders to all edges of the front paste-down. Binding good and strong with a little general wear and some rubbing, corners lightlly worn. Inner hinges in blue morocco, the front hinge with minor damage, but not affecting the integrity of the hinge. Contents clean and tight; original grey-coated endpapers. Front blanks with some spotting; title page lightly marked, otherwise pages clean and crisp. A very good, bright clean copy. Please note a large heavy book and a small postal surcharge is likely to apply..
