Boards well worn. Internally clean, except for a small stain on the fore edge of the text block, which can be seen in the margin of the first third of the volume. A Good Copy, in need of re-backing.

Philadelphia: Lindsay and Blakiston, 1854. First Edition First Printing . Hardcover. Fair. 8vo. 380 pages. Hardcover bound in original leather. The binding is bumped and worn. The bottom half of the front hinge is cracking, and the top half of the rear hinge is cracking. The leather is a bit dry and scuffed, especially on the spine. The text block is sound, and the text shows some foxing and damping, especially on the endpapers and at the gutter. The text itself shows foxing but does not have a great deal of damping.
