Covers have a small split to the upper end of the front spine edge, a small stain to the front upper margin, and slight wear to the outer corners and spine ends. Rough cut pages are moderately tanned and thumbed at the edges, creased corners and foxing. Binding has remained firm. Boards have been moderately rub worn. Noticeable shelf wear to corners, spine and edges. Corners are bumped and a little frayed Spine ends are crushed, with noticeable splits and chips. Tanning to spine and edges. Boards are bowed. Book has a forward lean. Water marks to boards and spine.

Black and white illustrations throughout. Severe cracking to hinges causing boards to be loose. Pages and illustrations have light tanning and foxing throughout. Pencil inscription to front free endpaper. Boards have moderate shelf-wear with bumping to corners and rubbing to surfaces. Light tanning to spine and edges with crushing to spine ends. Staining to both boards.
