New York: E. P. Dutton, 1923. Book. Very Good+. Hardcover. Later printing.. Later printing (1923) in scarce original dust jacket. Decorated American trade binding. Clean rust brown cloth boards with gold lettering and wheat design on cover, gold lettering on spine. No fraying or wear. Binding is tight and square, no cracking. Pages and edges are clean, with previous owner name in very light pencil on front free endpaper. 511 pages. Dust jacket has two very small chips at spine corners, a few tiny edge nicks. Enclosed in new archival quality removable mylar cover. The story of a woman and her experiences in the business world, this was considered quite the sensational novel at the time it was published. By the author of "Brass" and "Salt.".
