About This Item

NY: Watson-Guptill, 1983. 4th printing of the First edition No markings, Fine in price-clipped Very Good dust jacket with 1/2" closed tear to bottom edge of front panel. This is a useful book on watercolor technqiue where a leading realist painter demonstrates "impossible" watercolor techniqes for portraits, figures and landscapes. Silverman uses unorthodox painting methods to expand the command of watercolour painting. The author gets the freshness and spontaneity desired in watercolour but has the ability to change his mind, make corrections and build up a watercolour as he might build up a painting in oil or pastel. This book uses step-by-step demonstrations of protraits and figures as well as landscapes to demonstrate the effectiveness of this technique. (2.5 JM HOJ 300/5. Hardcover. Fine/Very Good. 4to - over 9¾ - 12" tall.

About JWMah

JWMah has been selling out-of-print, used and rare books on the Internet since 1997. Our stock consists of a good balance of fiction and non-fiction books in a wide range of subjects. We also sell classical Lp records. Our Cookbooks, Canadiana, Travel and Exploration catalogues are worth a look. We examine each book that we sell and try our best to grade the books conservatively. We are strictly an internet business, so usually the books put up for sale are in stock. We try update our books every two days so that our listings are as fresh as possible. It is best to contact us by e-mail or by telephone to reserve a book, as some books sell quickly. We are located in Canada's westcoast and we ship internationally.
