Reviews
On Apr 24 2020, a reader said:
Book is packed with the author's personal experience and curiosity among the Bretons outside of Brittany and in their home world. Pages rich with full-color cultural tales, modern and timeless. Anatole Le Braz still lives among his people, and this is a good way to experience him, as many of his works are hard to find among the non-French speaking world. Some completely spine-chilling tales and glimpses of pre-Christian thought and mentality. The traditional Breton mindset takes the longview to new levels, with a cosmic approach to the smallest of ordinary affairs. Read it with your eyes open and you can get a glimpse of early Celtic Christianity. It took a long time to find this book, and it was worth the wait. There is sorrow here, joy, and defiance.
