Latin text, title-page printed in red and black; contemporary sprinkled calf, rubbed, gilt spine, upper joint cracked at head and foot but firm. Armorial bookplate of Samuel James, Baron Waring. Eutropius was a late fourth-century pagan historian, a contemporary of Julian the Apostate. His Breviarum is dedicated to Valens. Dibdin follows Harwood in calling Havercamps edition excellent.
