Near Fine/Very Good. octavo, 338 pages; INSCRIBED by the author and with the typed letter signed by Woodrow Wilson (in facsimile), which is quoted and paraphrased in the text at page 202. The Bridge to France was a "bridge of ships" which the author and shipbuilder helped to construct in support of the war effort. President Wilson's letter answers the author's question about pooling our shipping with the British, after the War. The author, Edward Hurley, was the Wartime Chairman of the United States Shipping Board. Housed in a handsome and clever clamshell box, which provides for the book and a frame which holds the letter in place. The very good, pictorial dust jacket shows the price of $5.00 on front flap and small loss at spine head.
