The British Museum, London, 1921. First Edition. Paper. Very Good/No Dust Jacket. Journal 1st Edition; viii, 46pp, 4 figures in text. Original green paper wraps. A meticulous study of auroral observations taken from winter quarters at Cape Evans in 1911 and 1912, and from winter quarters at Cape Adare in 1911, with appendix on the natural ionisation in closed metal containers. In his introduction, Wright ascribes Simpson and Raymond Priestley, geologist for the Northern Party, for the efficacy of the arduous undertaking. Sir Charles Seymour Wright(1887-1975), was a Canadian member of Robert Falcon Scott's antarctic 'Terra Nova' expedition. Wright was the member of the search party to find the tent containing the bodies of Scott, Edward Wilson, and Henry Robertson Bowers, who perished on their return trek from the South Pole. Slightly grubby covers, becoming detached, small pieces missing from corners, contents clean, Ex Libris bookplate on half title. Very Good. Size: Large Book - between A4 and A3. 46 pages.
