A fairly unique copy - flat signed by one of the authors, Hugh Montgomery-Massingberd to the title page and presented to his mother-in-law - Dot (Ripley). The inscription to the title page reads: 'My Dear Dot A small gesture of the immense gratitude I feel for your wonderful generosity from your loving son-in-law Hugh 25 Clannicarde (?) Gardens London W2 Easter Saturday 1985'. A very good, clean, tight copy in similar jacket. Original publisher's red boards - gilt embossed to the spine. Upper edge dyed red as it should. A couple of stains - not heavy to the upper fore-edge. A couple of tiny speck marks to the front endpaper. A fairly unique flat-signed presentation copy.
