(Risbury, Herefordshire): The Whittington Press, 2001. Limited Edition. Leather. Fine. No. VII of forty of the deluxe version, quarto size, 161 pp. No. VII of forty of the deluxe version, out of a total edition of 350, bound in full Oasis leather with endpapers marbled by Christopher Rowlatt, with a separate portfolio of original prospectuses.

The book's Introduction points out that an alternate title for this work might have been "The pleasures of private press prospectuses", as these prospectuses themselves have become collectible both as a substitute for the books themselves which are often scarce or rare, and not inexpensive to obtain; and because they offer an insight into "the activities and intentions of the press concerned". The Whittington Press is singularly appropriate as a publisher of the joys of fine press printing, being renowned today for their own publications.

The separate portfolio of original prospectuses for this volume includes: Rampant Lions Press (Areopagitica), Chilmark Press (The Mountains), Gwasg Gregynog (Deaths and Entrances), Inky Parrot (The Return of A.J. Raffles), Previous Parrot (An Anamorphic Alphabet), The Old School Press (Catalogue - some plans, no promises), Gregynog (Eros and Psyche - 1935), Tabard Private Press (Book Production Notes), Whittington Press (Fine Papers of the Oxford University Press), Whittington Press (Plans Etc.), Whittington Press (Wallpapers Printed at the Curwen Press), September Press (The Four Gospels), Golden Cockerel Press (Mademoiselle de Maupin), Doves Press (In Preparation - 1914), Celtic Cross Press (Stained Glass Windows), Nonesuch Press (Catalogue - 1928), The Vale Press (The Sonnets of Shakespeare), The Fleece Press (Catalogue), Libanus Press (Portable Pleasures), Golden Cockerel Press (Mr. Chambers and Persephone), Golden Cockerel (Catalogue - 1937), Workshop Press (Fleurons), Inky Parrot (An Avian Alphabet), Red Hen Press (Two Moons), Incline Press (Catalogue), Rhinocerous Press (Catalogue), Stanbrook Abbey (Announcement), Cherub Press (Catalogue), Joshua Heller Rare Books, Inc. (Paper wallet containing an offering of eight items from seven presses - Camberwell, Fleece, Inky Parrot, Libanus, Rocket, Tern, and Whittington).
