About the author

After reading The Hobbit in the fifth grade, Blake Hoena knew that he wanted to be a writer and just like JRR Tolkien. To follow his dreams, he moved to Minnesota to pursue a master of fine arts degree in creative writing, and has since written more than 60 books for kids, from graphic novels to books about dinosaurs and mythology, biographies of famous people, and choose-your-path adaptations of classics tales and historic events. Blake now lives in St. Paul with his dog Ty, who curls up at his feet whenever he writes.
