Unpaginated preliminary pages (Bridgforth's introduction),111p., softbound first edition (no casebound issue) in 8.5x5 inch decorated blue wraps with an author photoportrait, inscribed on front free endpaper (as "Sharon") by the African American poet and AIDS activist (datelining 2002 in L.A.). Condition near-new: has a droplet stain to fore-edge and the faintest of faint edgewear to front cover. Nice copy: sound and otherwise perfectly clean and unmarked. Poetry describing the life of black women in the south during the 1920s, self-described as performance art.
