Includes biographical sketches and portraits of Peale and Bartram. Unnumbered copy of a limited edition of 1950 copies. Includes an introduction by Wilson G. Duprey. --- In green quarter cloth over gold paper-covered boards with engraved illustration on front. Gilt-stamped titling on black spine block (repeated on slipcase). Slipcase covered in matching gold papers and with a repeat of the book's title page. --- With severe sunning to spine, else a sturdy, tightly-bound, bright copy. Slipcase with minor sunning and soiling; remains structurally sound.; Quarto (11 to 13 in. tall); xii, 151 pages .
