With over 150 historic black & white photos, showing the golden age of San Francisco. Decorations by E. S. Hammack. Color drawings of various S.F. cable cars to endpapers and with at least one map. --- In brown paper-covered boards with cable car illustration to cover, white spine titling. Jacket with elaborate color Hammack drawing of a busy city street scene. --- With a partial split at mid-volume which doesn't affect the soundness of the binding, and with a little cover edge rubbing & prior owner's signature to front free endpaper, else a good copy. Dust jacket with small tears to edges (some tape-repaired) plus a little age toning; else in good shape and protected in clear removable mylar wrapper.; Small Quarto (9 to 11 in. tall); 130, (5) pages .
