These are original engravings, NOT reproductions! A quantity of six original hand-colored engravings from Howe's "The Great West" (1858), suitable for framing. The full title of the book is instructive: "The Great West; Containing Narratives of the Most Important and Interesting Events in Western History - Remarkable Individual Adventures - Sketches of Frontier Life -Descriptions of Natural Curiosities."

The subjects of the engravings are:
