With a colour frontispiece and additional portrait of Stephen Powers and several plates. With an essay titled 'Stephen Powers as Anthropologist' by Robert F Heizer. In red paper wraps. Externally, smart with minor chips to the top and bottom of wraps. Minor chipping to the head and tail of spine as well. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean throughout. Very Good

Glossary

- A defect in which small pieces are missing from the edges; fraying or small pieces of paper missing the edge of a paperback, or...

- The outer portion of a book which covers the actual binding. The spine usually faces outward when a book is placed on a shelf....
