Presentation inscription on front free endpaper, "Dear Comrade Parslow:- Yours for the Revolution, Jack London. March 26, 1914" G.L. Parslow worked for Jack London at his home in Glen Ellen, California. Charmian London, in The Book of Jack London, records his presence at the burial of London's ashes, "When we had all gathered upon the dripping slope, Mr. G.L. Parslow, our oldest ranchman, received the urn from Ernest Matthews, and set it, with its flowers, in the tile already cemented into the ground." Several books have come to auction with inscriptions to "Comrade Parslow," Toning to endpapers, else a near fine copy.
