New York, New York USA: Grosset & Dunlap Publishers, 1902. Hardcover. Fair/No Jacket. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall. Type: Hardback 1902 Special Limited Edition Hardcover Book in Fair Condition. No jacket. Clean old book, a good western story. 1902 perspective, of the Indian Wars and Captain Curtis who took part in those wars but was a friend of the indians; he was a friend who would lose his life to protect his friends. Binding of olive green full cloth with black titles and decoration stamped on spine and front, with three-line border on front panel. Rubbing with moderate wear to extremities. Nice appearance. Backstrap completely loosened from crash with hinge area scuffed. Date hand-written on endpaper. Text block edges darkened. Pages are moderately toned but quite clean, shadow at hinge ares on pages 406-407 from something left in the book a long time and page 407 has a small tear to upper edge; may be a smudge on a page or two but mostly unmarked, no underlining, no marginalia, no other shadows, marks. 425 pages. 7.75 x 5.25 inches. Grosset & Dunlap, New York, 1902.
