Binding is tight, interior is clean. Worm hole affecting front endpapers, frontispiece margin, with tiny hole on title page margin; foxing of endpapers, some rubbing, fading, soil to rear cover board & spine. Presents better than it sounds. A fairly scarce early social history of Carmel, California Includes line drawings by J. J. Mora, Grant Wallace, Ira Remsen, others; photos by L. Josselyn.
