London, UK: Longman's, Green, and Co., 1901. 1st. Hardcover. Very Good/None. Hardcover, Two Volume Set. 388 pages (Vol. 1), 375 pages (Vol. 2). B/w illustrations throughout, frontispieces with tissue guards. Cover boards bound in purple cloth, gilt title to spine (faded) and gilt embossed design on front cover boards. Boards and spine have some fading due to shelf wear (see images). Some moisture staining to some of the pages, doesn't affect text or illustrations. Deckled edges. Pages and edges have some tanning from age. Binding still quite tight, spines straight. Front cover boards of both books slightly warped. Record # 31986
