About This Item

New York: Hurst & Company Adopted as a baby, Frank Fowler must fend for himself when his adoptive mother dies, but soon he will uncover his real history. This reprint of a book originally published in 1887 is probably from around 1900. It is in Good+ condition (click on photo). The book is bound in a tan cloth with a pastedown illustration on the front panel, plus a draiwing and lettering in black on the spine. The spine cloth has a half-inch circular piece missing. The covers show soiling and a forward lean. Spine tips have light fraying, and corners are rubbed and bumped. The interior, is nice though. The binding is tight and secure. The pages are mainly clean and the paper stock used is superior to what one usually finds in Alger books, so age browning isn't a problem. The book measures 5 1/4 by 7 1/2 inches and includes 254 pages. . Hard Cover. Good+/No Dust Jacket. 12mo - over 6¾" - 7¾" tall.
