About This Item
London: Victor Gollancz Ltd, 1938. First edition. The story of the Anglo-Irish Corner brothers, one who inherited Castle Corner with its responsibilities and the other who went to West Africa. Reportedly Cary meant this to be a three of four volume series but stopped after this book due to its poor reception. The book shows normal minor wear and aging with very light foxing on end papers and page edges, in dust jacket complete but with chips on corners and spine ends and old tape reinforcement on verso spine ends and spine a bit darkened. Still a good jacket.
