New York: Random House,, 1965. First edition, first printing, of this children's illustrated French-English dictionary, based on The Cat in the Hat Beginner Book Dictionary (1964). The points of first printing, found here, are "Canad" for "Canada" on the copyright page, no ads for later titles, and front flap of dust jacket priced 395/395. Quarto. Original laminated pictorial boards, pictorial endpapers. With dust jacket. Colour illustrations throughout by P. D. Eastman. Corners a little worn and torn, top board edges slightly soiled, book block edges toned, a very good copy in like dust jacket, price-clipped, extremities nicked, short closed tear to front panel. Younger & Hirsch 9.
