Eyre & Spottiswoode. Hardcover. Very Good. no date, no publication history - assuming 1st edition. No jckt. Purple cloth, gilt lettering spine and front boards, ornate gilt decoration to spine. Very Good condition, top/bottom spine pushed, light scuffing extremities, boards starting fade, uneven colouring rear cover. Hinges & binding excellent. Wonderful colour illustration across end-papers. 16 full page colour illustrations, all with intact tissue guards. 15 b&w illustrations within text. All illustrations by CECIL ALDIN. No inscriptions, very, very minimal spotting. SUPERB.
