Pages slightly toned. Illustrated with 442 engravings and portraits. Brown pebbled cloth boards decorated and lettered in black and gilt at front, back and spine. Boards scuffed, edges rubbed, corners worn to boards, spine top and tail very frayed, spine cloth torn 2" at lower front. Hinges mobile, but holding. Textblock firm.
