New York: Alfred A. Knopf, 1955.. 1955.. Good. - Octavo, cloth-backed boards in a dust wrapper. The boards are lightly rubbed with the top edges slightly faded. The dust jacket is chipped & soiled with some internal foxing. The top edge & the tail of the spine are chipped. The top edge of the rear panel is creased with 2 tears. xi, [i], 280 & [vi] pages. There is a gift inscription on the front pastedown & the same owner's address stamp on the front endpaper. There are some red & blue pencil markings on a few pages. Good. <p>First edition.
