NY: Selmar Hess, 1892. G/. 1st edition, 1st printing. This is a 4 volume set. Thick folio's bound in full leather, spines gilt titled, all edges gilt. Illustrated with photogravures, etchings, wood engravings and typogravures, tissue guarded. Each volume has a lovely color frontispiece. Complete four volume set. All four books have pieces missing from spine and owner inscription on 2nd free page. Volume 1 has front board and end pages detached. Volume 2 has dampstain on fore edges of first nine pages. No dust jackets, as issued.
