Includes a ten foot x 16.5 inch folded print entitled Daisekai no Saku "Ken" Kamigami Yori Jinrui E. Jacket has two closed tears; other wise a fine copy in a vibrant purple cloth by Wada Book Binding, Tokyo. Large (15x30 cm) bold brush & ink signature by Munakata to front free fly. Number 2813 of only 3000 copies in the original Japanese.; Folio 30x43 cm; 222 pages; Signed by Artist; All shipments through USPS insured Priority Mail. .

Paris: Imp. Lemercier [for:] Librairie Nouvelle, [nd. but ca. 1850s].. 19 plates and 18 plates. Loose sheets. Images, including captions, ca. 27 x 18.5 cm. Margins vary. Some creasing to the larger margins, two plates exhibit foxing and a couple more show some slight marginal tanning, otherwise very good or better. Decent representation of two of the sub- elements of Gavarni's extended work, which when completed, included 329 lithographic plates. The first element lacks plate 1 of the twenty published, and the second lacks plates 4 and 5 of twenty published (duplicates of 2 and 7 are also present, but not included in the count above). Ray treats the series at some length, describing Thomas Virelogue as "one of Gavarni's most brilliant inspirations," and the work as a whole as "a neglected masterpiece of nineteenth-century French graphic art." La Mélodie Acide, (1980). Twelve of 14 original stone lithographs by Joan Miro housed with limitation page in printed portfolio and protected by exterior paperboard portfolio. Loose as issued. Signed on plate (plate signed) and hand numbered out of 1500. Limitation page in French and English. This set is No. 1477/1500.
"The series was printed using the original plates for the portfolio LA MELODIE ACIDE, published in January 1980....The present edition consists of 1,500 prints on Arches paper of the 14 original plates, numbered from 1/1,500 to 1,500/1,500, and with the artist's signature on each of the plates."
This set is INCOMPLETE with 12 of the 14 plates. Plates measure 13 x 10 inches and are in excellent condition. Exterior paperboard portfolio is heavily torn at the flap and lightly soiled overall.

The complete set of 3 etchings with aquatint in color and 2 carborandom etchings on one folded sheet: one printed in black and the opposite sheet printed in white. One color etching has a 11 cm. closed tear which has been professionally repaired but is still visible (see or ask for images). Poem in French by Andre Frenaud printed on Bristol paper. Text pages are preceded by printed color metallic paper representing mirrors. Original cover with four folded flaps and a collage from colored-paper cut-outs. Grey, cloth-covered, box with white and silver lettering on spine. Published as a tribute to Jeroen Bosch. SIGNED by both Miro and Frenaud on the colophon page. From a limited edition of 225 copies this is number 7. The cloth of the portfolio box has wear to corners. 46,5 x 32,5 cm..

In contemporary gilt frame, 810x610mm, sheet withoiut margin 690x490. Un-examined out of frame. In very good condition. Born in Naples in 1933, Guido Biasi studied at the Artistic High School and at the College of Fine Arts in his hometown. In 1954 he became a member of Movimento di Pittura Nucleare (Nuclear Painting Movement) and in 1957 he signed the Abisola Marina Manifesto with Colucci, Piero Manzoni, Sordini and Verga.
