Coloured illustrated frontispiece, showing cricket, at Melbourne, 1841. Within the text there are another 51 black-and-white illustrations. Maroon coloured boards with gilt writing on the spine. Minor bumping to the head and to the heel of the spine and the corners of the book are very slightly rubbed. Previous owner has put his stamp and his name to the top right-hand corner of the free front end paper. Very slight staining to the lower right-hand corner of the free front end paper and there is a crease that run its full length. Illustrated dustwrapper, showing Lola Montez, against the maroon background with pink writing on the front panel and spine. The dustwrapper is slightly rubbed and the spine is quite faded. Rubbing and Minor chipping to the dustwrapper corners and to the top spine edge. A small chip to the top rear dustwrapper panel edge.
