A very clean very tight copy with bright unmarked very slightly dusty boards and no bumping to corners. 34pp. Part I is the general introduction, holy tables, communion rails and pulpits and it begins with the Dissolution of the Monasteries in 1545 describing that which was lost and what church furniture, glass etc remained and what came to replace them. It then goes on the describe the holy tables, communion rails and pulpits which are to be found in Cheshire towns and villages, catalogued under place name. From the Transations of the Lancashire and Cheshire Antiquarian society, Vol LIII. Illustrated with ten photographs. Extremely scarce.. Soft Cover. Very Good (+). 8.5 x 5.5 inches.
